Mooli Raita – Kashmiri style ( Kashmiri Style Spiced Radish Yogurt). Radish has found its way into many cuisines around the world, this style of “Raita” is from far the north state of India called “Kashmir”. Walnut is one of the main ingredients of this raita, which is a speciality of the Kashmir region.

MRadish health benefits are surplus. Radishes are a very good source of vitamin C – 25% of the daily recommended value. Folate, fibre, riboflavin, and potassium, as well as good amounts of copper, vitamin B6, magnesium, manganese, and calcium, are less prominent nutrients that support the healthy properties of radishes. It’s probably no surprise that radishes contain lots of fibre and helps in reducing weight loss. 

The recipe for this dish is very very simple. 
Grate some Radish and squeeze out the excess water ( I  personally don’t squeeze out the excess water, coz we lose so many nutrients in the water)
Take one bowl of yoghurt, add white salt, black pepper and whisk it properly, don’t add any water to the yoghurt. 
 
Add one chopped green chilly, some fresh coriander and lots of walnuts to the raita and serve it with biryani, paranthas or hot Indian gravies.
